Over and out from me. I don't care for a statement that preaches to me about what Giant Bomb is and isn't what the sites become over the last year or so isn't for me. Glad I've let my sub lapse and gonna unsubscribe from podcast feed. Been nothing on here for a while it was all about the voices and personalities, maybe over time they will regrow that and have people I want to watch and listen to but for now that isn't the current crop (with a couple of exceptions) and it would be disingenuous of me to continue supporting this Red Ventures joint in any capacity.
As much as I love Halo Infinite definitely Team Jess in that particular debate. I think there were so many flaws about using Halo's refining of the gameplay from previous Halos but dismissing practically anything good about Psychonauts 2. That game is really not unrefined as people make out, even the original is fine with the exception of the meat circus (I played it first time last year in prep for 2). A lot fo the mechanics such as the ball and the bubble go a long to help make up the shortcomings. Had to laugh when I think it was suggested that Mario 64 has better mechanics...Again another game I beat for the first time recently (hated it back in the day and took me this long to go back to it) it has not aged well at all.
I'm hoping this pulling from premium videos to make Quick Looks is just a temporary thing. I already downed my yearly renewal to monthly as I'm on the fence about the new direction/content and as to whether I want to carry on supporting or put that $ towards another subscription or Patreon.
Im all for more Dan...but another premium show that's not about games...this is starting to just feel outright weird. Why did Red Ventures buy Giantbomb was it literally for us as premium subscribers as a userbase have them use the personalities we love to sell us new and different content that they can then make money on some how? Or something?
