Having put a surprising amount of time into this little gem, I can't help but think it would be way up Jeff's alley. Anybody else tried it yet? A little high-score attack that mixes a (surprisingly tight) platformer with Pac-Man style enemies. Extremely fun and more than worth the $5.

@yummytreesap: Wizard Hat is deceptively complicated to get, but not too hard once you know what to do!

Here's how: When a wizard (the pink guys) shoots a lightning bolt at you, shoot it with a shotgun blast - this is SUPER easy to do after you get FUCK YOU. Any enemy near the ricocheted lightning bolt will become electrocuted. Shoot them with the machine gun - not the shotgun - to get a tick in WIZARD HAT. Once you get it, all of your shotgun blasts will have electricity. Combined with FUCK YOU and HOT STUFF, you cover the screen in burning, electric bolts. It's a good time.

As for THANKS, I rush on guys with shields and shotgun blast them. I don't focus on getting it, I just let it build up as I play. SO LONG is pure luck for me, but it gets easier as I get more power ups.

PSA - ANYBODY EYEBALLING THIS WHO HEARD THE SCREENSHAKE IN THIS GAME SUCKS - it did! But now you can turn it off and see the damn game!

Okay, as a huge fan of twin-stick shooters, I absolutely adore this game. Anyone else out here playing it?

Curious what y'all are running with for a "build order" for earning power-ups. My go-to strategy right now is the following:

1. Earn "FUCK YOU" first - it gives you 5 shells per shotgun blast instead of three - it's way easier to get this crucial power-up early by blasting away at mobs of 3 before the trickier enemies spawn in.

2. Next, earn "HOT STUFF" and "WALLIE" at the same time. I do this by shooting along the walls of the arena until a flameshot occurs, and then I wall bounce a shotgun blast into the flameshot. Because I've already got "FUCK YOU", it's pretty easy to earn both by just repeating this two or three times.

Usually, this is about when a boss will spawn, so I try to survive that.

3. Next, I get "WIZARD HAT" by shotgunning the hell out of every wizard bolt on screen, and machine-gunning down every enemy who gets caught in the blast.

4. Finally, I'll try to get "THANKS" by shotgunning shield guys really close as often as possible. After that, "SO LONG" usually happens by accident.

Anybody else do anything similar? Radically different?

10 years ago I was in college, and a human being capable of being really, really excited about Final Fantasy. That trailer blew me away and left me ridiculously excited.

Now I'm an adult. Every other aspect of my life is much better, but the most enthusiasm I can muster for FFXV is morbid curiosity.

Hey, I've been playing Overwatch non-stop since it came out, but the couple of hours I played with y'all tonight were by far the most fun I've had. Thanks for the great time, Duders. Anyone eyeballing this thread and on the fence about joining, I cannot recommend it enough!

@starvinggamer: The Talos Prinicple is sooooooo gooooooood. I wonder if they should consider it for this year's GOTY talks just because it came out after their talks started last year.

I was 10 years old, and had just gotten to the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time. I kept drowning - over and over and over - because I had never found the blue tunic. In fact, I don't think I knew it existed. So, it seemed to me that the solution was to collect fairies in bottles and go at it that way. I managed to beat the temple by memorizing the underwater tunnels and swimming between them as quickly as possible, drowning and reviving with a fairy when it was absolutely necessary.

Then, like 20 minutes after I conquered that nightmare, I found the blue tunic.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

Yep, it's up! Our long history of watitng is finally at an end. See you guys next week when I stop playing this.
