"Also it's just an extra bad look that Ninja has this stance while being the top Fortnite streamer. His viewership is going to skew towards children and teens, because that's who is playing Fortnite. His stance boils down to "I don't play Fortnite with girls because then people will say I like those girls," which is just about the most childish message you could send to those viewers. It's not literally his job to teach his viewers that it's no big deal if he streams with a woman, but he has such a huge audience of young people that you'd think he could at least try to set a good example."
This is what bothers me the most about this. By his personal stance (which he is entitled to and can run his business the way he wants to), he is reinforcing stereotypes that women are just there to be flirty with men, they possibly couldn't be there to play games! I think Vinny hit the nail on the head that he is ultimately being lazy by not addressing the larger issue of the culture of the platform that he makes his living off.
Love this site. Thank you for all the top quality content over the holiday break, i am enjoying this gem of a video on new years eve. Takes alot of courage to get up on the mic, let alone be recorded on the internets. Props to you all.
