RE5

So my friend and I got and played Resident Evil 5 from a gaming store in my town that was not supposed to sell it early, but the mangers like to break release dates often. :P And wow, that game is a HUGE disappointment. So instead of me writing all of my impressions, I think I will let Adam Sessler tell you my thoughts, as he gave the game a 3 out of 5 and I completely agree with him. When comparing this to RE4 and other games now, four years after RE4 came out, I find it just not up to par, and its very upsetting:

Na Na, Na, Monday Monday!

Man I just hate winter sometimes. There are times when I just despise the cold, the snow, everything about it, and just wish for Spring to come soon. But then there are times when I loved it. Yesterday was just insane. Over a foot and a half of snow just hit us, and everything was shutdown, including my school. So I took advantage of this day off, and spent some time, well gaming, as well as screwing around friends.
My GTA4 love continues, as I get farther into the game. I just passed the ten hour barrier, and have just unlocked the character Berry, aka that guy dude. I am really enjoying GTA4 as I play it again, but I find that I am getting stuck on a couple of missions here or there, unlike the first one. I still like this game a lot, but the frustration factor is starting to set in. I will try to finish it soon before my frustration overcomes the fun factor.
I also am playing more Geometry Wars 2, again. This game was already my most played of 2008, but after a few months of intermission, I am back to trying to bring up

my scores, mainly my Pacifism score. Even after months of not playing this game, my scores are still second in every leaderboard, as the number one man is fucking ridiculous. I love this game for the pure fact that I am competitive, want to be number one, and also like how I can listen to my dozen or so podcasts while playing it.
I also popped in some other games today, including Fallout 3, Civilization Revolution, and Rainbow Six Vegas 2. All of them are games that I already have played to death of, while others like Fallout 3 and Civilization Rev. I am completely sick off. Fallout 3 especially. I went to try and finish the last mission today, and the big robot that I have to escort, got stuck on a wall, twice! Two times I restarted the level, and both times it got stuck in a object that it shouldn't have. I was already considering selling this game as I was almost done with it, and had no ambition to to play it again, but now I just can't even let it in my sight again, as how this game was what seems to me, to be really buggy. I think that I will probably just sell all these games, yes I hate selling games, but with the amount that I have, I think that clearing a little shelf space is in order, and might use the money to buy some games that I have been eyeing for awhile.
In non gaming stuff, I have been watching on Netflix, Law and Order SVU. I have already watched two or three seasons of the show, and am hooked to it. I find all the characters intresting, and each story line intresting in its own right. I also have my reigonal tests called the CAPTS. There like every other reigonal exams, but much, much easier. I basically have to not even study for them for an entire week, and best thing is I get no homework from my teachers. Sweet. Now back to watching SVU I go. : D

Much Needed Update

So I haven't done a regular blog in quite some time, instead just posting funny videos that make me laugh on my blog to show you guys, but I guess I should write about what's been going on, since this is, a blog.
So I played through Condemned 2, after I saw it for fifteen dollars at Gamestop. And well, it was pretty good. I have not played the first Condemned, though I will probably will now, but I got the overall 'jist' of the story pretty quickly. I thought that the overall progression other the characters was pretty good, though I thought the whole

*spoilers* It's an old evil clan thing *spoilers* was a pretty bad story decision on Monolith’s part. And they even blew why all these random homeless people were attacking you in the first five minutes of the game, and it really took the scares out of the game. Speaking of scares, I thought the game had its moments, especially when something was chasing you. I thought the Doll Factory wasn't scary at all, though I found it funny that I could just kill the dolls with a kick. The ending of the game I thought was not that bad, speaking in Monolith’s standards as they can never end a game right (F.E.A.R 1 and 2, and Condemned.) The combat is the real joy of this game. The fighting system is great, with lots of combos that will make you smile every time that you pull one off. And one final thing before I move on, Condemned 2 is bloody, I mean really bloody. That is all.

Moving on, I have gone back to play more GTA4. I will probably pick up the Lost and Damned soon, but right now, I’m playing the story again the for ‘Under the 30 Hour’ Achievement. At this moment, I am about twenty five percent in, and have spent around four hours in the game. I love this game again, and can’t understand how people thought this game was overrated.

The final game that I have been playing is Fable 2. I just got the remaining achievements in the game, exclude the downloadable content, and I love that game. I have put upwards of forty hours of that game, collecting keys, killing gargoyles, and destroying numerous goblins. Sadly though, I don’t think I want to play this game for quite a while, as I am completely burnt out on it.

Enguard, I let you try my Giant Bomb-clanwhile. I probably will pick it back up though when I decide to finally buy .

That’s about it guys. I’m really happy that I finally did this blog, but now, I probably should go work on that essay that’s due tomorrow. Let’s hope for that snow day tomorrow, you think that after a foot and a half of snow they’ll cancel school? ^_^

CO-OP Episode 3

Co-op is weekly internet video that each week, gives the thoughts and opinions on games played by ex-1up and EGM personalities. Last  week’s episode was extra memorable as the staff says goodbye to Nick Suttner, who is both leaving his duties on Co-op, and Rebel FM, so he can be a product tester at Sony. Adding to the story was Ryan O'Donnell's troubles this year on Valentine's Day, as his girlfriend is both upset with his terrible cooking, and with all of the guys continually hanging out at their apartment. So kick back, grab a soda or a beer, and enjoy this marvelous show.

Halo Wars Impressions.

So, Halo Wars demo got released yesterday over Xbox Live, and well, it's a really big, "eh" for me.
I am not the biggest RTS fan, but do enjoy Relic's work like Company of Heroes, or Dawn of War, and maybe some Age of Empires,

but it just feels, really shallow. Maybe it's just because they are trying to 'dumb it down' for console players, who people think are stupid, but here's a little advice Ensemble and any other game developers. Halo has a huge following, bigger than maybe any other game, everyone knows it. But people who play Halo, 99% of them will not play this game because it is, well, and RTS. So if you are going to make an RTS game, try to at least make one that people who are a fan of the genre, will actually enjoy playing.

Am I being a little harsh, or what did you guys think of the demo?

Why I Have Not Been Looking Foward to Killzone 2

Why? Not because I don't want to play, or see the game. Hell no. The game looks pretty good. I only own an Xbox 360 though, so sadly, I won't be able to play it. The reason I have not looked forward to Killzone coming out is, because of fucking fanboys. It seems that most of them went back to their parents basements, lurking the message boards silently, but they all have logged in once again, and are creating a huge stir. I don't want to hear the 360 Fanboys going, "Its not that great looking, and the controls suck." Guys, its a good game for the PS3. You have tons of good games on the 360, stop wasting your time talking about a game that you will never play, and go back to try and catch up, after last years awesome set. PS3 Fanboys, I also don't want to hear, "This is why the PS3 is going to shove its massive dick up the 360's port, lolz." No, fuck you also. Again, instead of talking shit, go play the fucking game. I really can't stand this fucking bickering, so instead of replying to any of those comments anymore, I am just going to post this:

So This Sucks.

So, as I was walking out from school today, I reached into my backpack, to grab my Ipod, but to my dismay, it was not there. I went back to my locker. sure that I left it in my locker but no. I soon realized that my locker door was open earlier in the day(I thought that my books pushed it open as they sometimes do), and parts of my lunch went missing. So, someone broke into my locker, stole my lunch, and my Ipod. Fun. The Ipod was two years old, it was a black 2nd Generation Nano, so it wasn't like it was an Iphone or anything like that but still. Now the most fun, explaining this to my dad, anyone got any suggestions? Thanks a bunch guys.

Resident Evil Five Impressions

So I downloaded the Resident Evil Five 5 Demo off of Xbox Live today and wow. What the FUCK did they do to Resident Evil? Maybe it's just my memory, but RE4 controlled better than this? Or is it just that Gears of War and Dead Space spoiled us with good controls. But the controls are not just bad, they are terrible. Looking around is impossible, can run and shoot, aiming is awkward among other things. I really don't know what Capcom did to this, but this game, or at least the demo looks like absolute crap. Whats more annoying is the sound effects which are the exact same as Resident Evil 4's, and the level design, from these levels are atrocious. In case you have not realized this yet, I despised the demo, and will not be getting this game. Thanks for saving me sixty dollars Capcom.
Oh, and just a quick note. Got back into Fallout 3 the other day, and am really liking it, surprisingly.
