I remember when Azeroth felt like a community. It felt good to be a novice, you never felt isolated because there was always a handful of more experienced players around the corner. I remember when I was playing as a human paladin and I got to level 11, found my first two-handed sword. And it took hours, literally hours. Now that sense of community has disappeared, the peaceful tranquillity of the humans homeland was rudely interrupted with cataclysm side-quests that distracted you from the beauty of the environment and removed most of the atmosphere of the game at that point. I used to enjoy being a novice in WoW, but now it's such a fleeting experience that I find myself becoming indifferent to the game quicker than it took to install. I think partially it's due to the nature of Blizzard's will to help their customers. Some would say Blizzard are aiding their customers and making sure that they're happy, but I think it's just turned into spoon-feeding.
