for my witch doctor I use basic ranged attack because the low cost spell I like is spiders with the mother spider glyph, which is good for AoE but you can only have one out at a time so there is no point spamming it, and I really don't like the blow pipe, frogs are to short range and I don't have fire bomb unlocked,

Also in the later difficulties you may find that your main abilities are getting resisted to switching back to a default attack will help with that

I'm having a pretty good time actually. Only thing I wish is that they saved your map progress when you logged out. I want to explore everything and fully reveal the map but when I have to go back to town, server crashes, load back in and my map is all greyed out....that makes me grrrr!

also the story elements are super awesome, way better than Torchlight 2's beta

Randomized environments is what Diablo is all about. It sucks when they force you off the game and you have to come back and you lose progress. But the map changes every time you log back in. They can't save your map progress because the game world changed. At least that's how I remember it.

Yep thats the reason, it is not a bug. It sucks now with all the crashes but you will be thankfull for it when you can do multiple runs of the same dungeon later in the game.

I really like the combat with the Demon Hunter. With the traps and her jumping around it almost feels like an character action game. I love the crafting, having your own smith that you can lvl up is great. Also Blizz seems to be the only ones who can do loot right.

The outdoor maps (and some of the indoor ones) have a set shape but they have chunks of maps with mob spawns and quests that can be there but there is more than can fit at once so if you regen a zone it will have a different layout and probably a different quest/sub dungeon. The indoor ones are made similarly but can change shape etc and don't seem to have the subquest things as much

Not even slightly. Diablo 1 was pretty great, and 2 was fun for a while, but this just looks horribly stripped down and boring, at least based upon the beta, and the art and overall look is just...errgh. Combine that with my utter contempt for Blizzard as a company and I just couldn't give two shits about it at all.

see the fact that you think that it is 'stripped down' means Blizzard has done something right because the D3 barb has more skills than the D2 one without taking runes into account, the fact is the characters in D3 are quite a lot more complex in their builds, changing the 1-5 keys into ability slots rather than potions adds to this because it gives them a whole lot more utility than getting hp and mana back. Item crafting is a lot deeper the cube in D2 is under used unless you played something like the Eastern Sun mod. While limiting the number of players to 4 is something I don't like I'm pretty sure they did if so you have to make a choice on what not to have. Art is subjective and while I don't doubt you don't like it I wonder if you aren't at least slightly inclined to see it in a negative light considering the rest of your post

I am interested as to why you have such contempt for Blizzard.

@CJduke: there are self heals for all the chars (along with pots) iir, but it is impossible to spec a healing only class in fact it is really impossible to play a support role at all really

@TPoppaPuff: lol what, just because Blizzard is making it doesn't make it AAA, that is what the press applies to games which have mega bucks spent on them.

Blizzard MOBA is a 100% worse than Blizzard All Stars (I don't get peoples problem with it other than trying to be 'cool')

also people are really going of the ledge saying that Blizzard has "lost" this, this a compromise it is what sane people do when there is a disagreement between them, it is some that you will need to learn to be able to function in this world, if Blizzard had lost then they would have been to court and the judge would have ruled in favour of valve.

I feel that Blizzard All Stars will be a better game because it is changing something (also the DOTA community is toxic to new people), but more that Blizzard All Stars it think that the next big thing in the MOBA genre will be Sins of a Dark Age because it is evolving the genre somewhere (I also think SMNC should be bigger than it is)

yeah but a smaller scale city with more micro managing, you can see all the people living there and get them assassinated etc, you don't have to manage water and power comes into play maybe mid game depending on when you start

hells yeah, when ever I go back to my perants for a birthday/hoilday we'll play something, carcassonne, sorcerer's cave, apples to apples (I want to get cards against humanity to play with mates). I also play board games with mates regularly, munchkin (we have amongst us about 6 sets), munchkin board game, Magic the Gathering (still go to pre-releases).

I would be pretty interested in playing a game of risk legacy reminds me of the ironman MTG format where you rip up any card sent to the graveyard and the winner takes the losers cards and uses them in his deck

Keep in mind, people would not pay us money or play our game at all if they didn't find some sort of enjoyment in it, even if you (and even us sometimes) just don't understand why they do.

We love our players, and they've enabledus to give back to the world in ways that most game companies don't have the ability or desire to do.

What was your function at Zynga?

Because if you had any real function worth mentioning at all, I find it hard to believe that some fast bottom feeding yuppie takes the time to listen to a 3+ hours long pod cast.

Not to mention coders, who would never spend their time on game sites.

I'm not sure what you think 'coders' are but I know many of the people that have graduated a Bachelor of Computing and Mathmatical Sciences (and other in some of the same papers) who are very much keen on gaming and will spend time all up in gaming sites, whether you mean sites like Giant Bomb (I assume this) or on sites like Facebook playing games (not Zyangs so much)
