This game had a super badass soundtrack, and it was tons of fun to skate in it. Nuff said.

I never liked playing the other MGS games. I could just never get past the archaic combat and drawn out cut scenes. This game was fantastic though, and had some really amazing moments that are in the top gaming moments of all time for me.

Fuck everyone who bashes this game. It doesn't have jet packs. It doesn't have wacky missions. This is the perfect game that came out at the perfect time. This game gives me consequence for senseless murder. It makes me respect the character of Niko and perform the way I think he would. It completely pulls me into the story and blows my mind every step of the way. It is amazing looking, feeling, and is just ridiculously fun to go through.
And if all that fails, it's still insanely awesome to blow shit up and murder people.

Amazing step up from GTA III, the whole 80s vibe was just fucking perfect. Truly epic moments in this game.

Possibly my favorite game of all time. The story was really awesome, the characters were interesting, and the world was just incredible to play around in. One of the only games I've beaten like 4 times.

This was the first gaming addiction I ever had. It also made me hate caves.

This was my favorite game as a little kid. It was so much fun playing with friends, and it was just incredibly fun. I think for all the time I put into it through the course of my childhood I actually beat the whole game maybe once.

Holy fucking shit, this game was so much fun. I would sit at the end of the Facility level killing guys for like an hour straight.

I'll just add this instead of all the Mario games in it that I loved. Not that much can be said about this except that it's probably the most timeless collection of games I've ever seen.

I was unreasonably obsessed with this game and NFL 2K1 on dreamcast. Although I guess it wasn't really unreasonable because they were fucking AWESOME.

This was easily the most jaw dropping gaming experience I've ever had. I wasn't much of a gamer and I hadn't even HEARD about this game (somehow). I showed up at a friend's house and he showed me it. I remember saying something like "what do I do?". And he said "anything you want".
