The other day my mom asked how my brothers and I learned to type. As it turns out, I learned with Mario Teaches Typing, a computer program released back in 1995. Oh floppy discs, where have the years gone? And without further ado, here's a clip:

I learned the boring way, sitting in a classroom infront of a mac.  I don't even position my hands on the keyboard the way they taught, my left is on WASD, and my right just pokes at the keys with the middle finger actually.  It's fast enough though.

I used...Nothing. Get a DOS based computer when you are 3 years old and you learn how to type.

Whoa. I totally had Mario Teaches Typing 2 back in the day. It was pretty awesome.

I learned through Mavis Beacon. I love typing so much.

I taught myself. I guess if people watched me type they would think it is pretty weird, but I am fast and accurate so that is all that matters!

I can't touch type, I have to look at the keys to do it most of the time. Generally I only use my index and middle fingers, occasionally thumbing the space bar. Self taught.

I'm slightly embarrassed to say this but I can't touch type.

I know someone who types with one hand. I'm pretty sure that's the way to go.
