So many good games available currently. So little time.

Well I mentioned earlier, the console freezes after a couple of minutes. No play!

Yes, I can turn it back on straight away. Left it on for two "rounds" of this so far to no avail.

Hmm, this doesn't seem to work. The 360 shuts itself down after approximately fourty minutes, showing two blinking red ligths (overheating, I guess).

So I wrapped the console in towels and turned it on. After about fourty minutes it showed two blinking red lights and turned itself off.
Unfortunately after turning the console back on it didn't give me the RRoD.
The console still freezes of course.

Thanks for your replies. I'll try the towel trick later on and will report back.

Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble with my Xbox 360. The console just hangs after a couple of minutes of gameplay.
Talking to Microsoft support, they told me my console isn't eligable for a repair under warranty anymore. To get the console repaired under warranty I'd "need" the Red Ring of Death.
Can anybody here tell me how to get the dreaded RRoD?

I found a really interesting interview with Scott Murphy, conducted in November 2006. See link below.

I thought it would be more interesting that way but you have a point.
Unfortunately the ESRB warning only applies to US releases. In Germany for example we only have an age rating without warning labels.

I played Anno 1503 for a while. It was a good game but didn't live up to the hype it stirred up here in Germany.
I didn't bother to look at Anno 1701 since they both seemed so similar.
Anno 1602 was I guess the first game in the series and a huge success here.
The Anno games have such a slow pace that I'd rather play Civ 4 for that kind of gaming experience nowadays.
