Not really getting the acceptance of services like game pass. Jeff framed this like its a much better deal than buying the games on Steam. This may be immediately true but this is just a sales tactic in order to drive game pass adoption. Once adoption reaches a certain percentage they'll ramp the prices up and consumers will end up getting a lot less for their money. Overall, services like game pass are not to our benefit.
I'd love to hear Jeff's explanation as to why Twisted Metal 2 specifically would not work nowadays. I can't really see why something like that wouldn't work nowadays.
The whole thing with Blizzard and Diablo Immortal has just been really eye opening. I bet Blizzard's customer base is primarily an older PC-based audience at this point. I bet this is particularly true with the Diablo IP. So, the whole mobile announcement just goes to show you how out of touch Blizzard is with their customer base. This is something their PR and Marketing people should have known and should have done a better job communicating to the rest of the organization.
Minimally, Blizzard should have followed the mobile announcement with a teaser for some either Diablo 3 content or Diablo 4. If they had done that no one would have cared about the mobile announcement.
