I thought this thread was "Games that need to reinvent themselves?", like reboot status. But I guess not.
Yeah, if you're sick of the industry, look elsewhere. It works for the movie industry (if you don't like mainstream dreck, check out indie/foreign films), it works for the music industry (I don't even listen to the radio at this point, and maybe a dozen or so artists on my Zune would get play on a Top 40 station), and it works for the game industry (not a fan of generic first-person-shooters? Try Machinarium or Braid or another interesting indie project).
PS3 I bought in fall 2007 because my mom & I broke my PS2 on accident (long story short, we opened it up when we didn't want to) and I was still playing Guitar Hero 2 & Bully. Wanted to play my old PS2 games on new hardware. First game I bought was Heavenly Sword (which came free with the PS3) so it wasn't like I was purely buying it for a PS3 exclusive.
As for my Xbox, I wanted Left 4 Dead badly and my PC couldn't run it for shit, so I had to nut up & pay for a 360.
@BrockNRolla: Her SNL performance was not good, very stilted & awkward. I'm one of the few who'll champion her album- I think like 6 of the songs on there are excellent, even if the rest of the album is hit-or-miss.

These girl advice threads are so predictable and lazy now-a-days. It's on cue that you'll see that stupid picture, and c'mon "she's plays draw something & words with friends on a nightly basis, it's like a goodnight kiss, does she love me?"
