Well, that was one hell of an episode. Good plays by Abby, it's such a stark contrast to Dan. Super entertaining and I look forward to the end-of-mission report that she'll be handing off to Alex in the next episode.
This video made my Thursday. This game has Dan written all over it, and I loved how Vinny just dived in head first with the ridiculous suggestion of animal/weapon combos.
That was a really entertaining quick look. I was dying laughing with the last segment in the cloud level. I REALLY hope this shows up on a UPF soon with the crew setting up a small tournament or just passing the controller back and forth. Lots of great opportunities with those custom options
Great QL, got a real nice feel for what the game offers. I'm sad Ben's character died but also pretty glad I was able to see that rad death sequence. This game is definitely a love letter to the OS's of the early-to-mid 90's and I'm totally okay with that.
Little late to the party here, but I was going through this video and reached the part where the crew got heavy into book talk. I started to get interested in checking out the crew's recommendations, so as I compiled a list of the GBE crew's book recommendations / likes into a GitHub gist.
Since I was going through the video pretty casually, there's a chance I may have missed a few books here and there so feel free to either reply here or on the GitHub gist with what I missed so I can revise the list.
I have a preorder for 1-2 Switch! and I've been considering cancelling it ever since Jeff and Dan's feedback when they took the trip out to NYC for the announcement event. Seeing the team mode and the fact that there's 28 games in this video is making me feel a little bit better about my preorder. The price is still a little steep for what Nintendo is offering but it does look like Jeff and Drew were having a lot of fun with it.
