I've never played this game but I was curious to get the story and see what lead up to wow classic. Its a shame they never even updated the story at all, or barely anything for that matter. I was looking forward to how they would change it to line up more with wow as well but hearing they totally abonded that idea is dissapointing. I'd rather just play a rerelease of the original as it was than this.
The shooting looks enjoyable, with lots of options. Shame how they are saying the game don't incentivize the use of them though. I don't care for cookie cutter open world design either and collecting all that shit don't seem fun at all. No thanks.
@epidehl: You are right. I bet that is the tone he meant. As the system is its just a mess. It has all the trappings of a mobile game trying to trick you out of your money, but without the money options. I guess they thought this would make it somehow ok? Its a baffling decision. I don't see it getting fixed fully ever because its sound baked into the fabric of the games design. Unfortunate. We've lost another game to this BS.
Hearing about MK11's currency fuck up is disappointing. I hear Ed boon say there would be no micro transactions, but they turned the crypt into a mobile game style economy. I also don't get Jeff saying it would be okay if you could spend money to bypass this stuff, because its the norm. That would make it far more egregious. As the system is now, sounds like they wanted to dabble in these awful practices without getting as much potential backlash. Pretty gross none the less
the power rangers lore minute is the highlight of this quick look. Learnt a bunch. the game itself looks bad. the gameplay may be ok but having a 3vs3 game with only 9 characters would get old fast and of course the presentation is straight garbage. i would of rather they work on this another year and release it at full price as fully realized game. I see no reason to invest in this when DBFZ offers the same niche and just had the season 2 big patch.
@puchiko: i think you are looking too into it. They are busy and leave not much time, so they tried to save time. They found it compelling enough to actually pay full attention to.
I was so hype for them to get to this point. I knew they would adore these episodes. The realionship between Mr. Satan and Buu is incredible and one of the most inspired decision is the whole series.
If this podcast had any resembling consistency we would of been done months ago. It's a shame we miss an episode legit the second week after it comes back, but what can you do.
