It's telling that even the people who championed the LOU 2 despite it's awful story still didn't put it in the top 10

This year's was a pleasant surprise after the previous 2-3 years convinced me to stop listing to the podcast altogether. It's bitter sweet seeing that they seemed to find their way again and made me want to come back to the site, only to find in the 2 year since I've visited this site just about everyone that made it special has left.

It's really interesting to see how people under total lockdowns where effected compared to the rest of us

Criticizing Joel for "not teaching your child to not go on a revenge quest" is a double bad take.

1. Whose parents every sat them down and had a conversation about not going on a revenge quest?

2. In a lawless society, by have the reputation as someone who doesn't get revenge you make yourself a target.

@zoofame: Thinking not having basic consideration for other makes some one an "excellent human" is a prime example of they growing toxicity of this site.

I'm sure Alex would be pissed if people spoiled part of a trash Nicolas Cage movie he was excited for.

Even if you think something is trash with an obvious doesn't mean other see it that way and it's not like taking half a second to say spoilers is some kind of major inconvenience for him.

@humanity: Every time I hear about something toxic coming from a game forum it's always reset era, and no one I know who's been on it has had good things to say about it.

@mcmoo: I agree with you unfortunately a toxicity has been creeping into this site I don't expect anything to change until it gets to the point where it starts to affect the bottom line.

This is the only site I visit were people are actually defend China and/or blizzard. I'm glad the staff isn't like that, they don't seem to have the awareness that being cool with lesser forms of censorship is part of what lead to this.

@bisonhero:I assumed they where quoting something from somewhere else. If those where supposed to have been from the included tweets then I agree that the article is dishonest and anything that author reports should be viewed with skepticism. She still comes off as dishonest and the more twitter information that comes out the more dishonest she looks.

@bisonhero: The point is if those tweets are accurate it flatly disproves the claims that she was physically confined, isolated from the outside world, or had to hurriedly flee.
