Looking forward to September, October and the rest of Q4, I'm beginning to wonder if 1998 will come every fall/winter from last year on. The amount of amazing games, for all platforms, is larger than any year I can remember. Here's a list of all amazing upcoming titles that I can remember:
- Mercs 2: World in Flames
- Gears of War 2
- Spore
- Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II
- Total War: Empires
- Left 4 Dead
- Crysis Warhead
- Farcry 2
- Dead Space
- Little Big Planet
- Fallout 3
- Rise of the Argonauts
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky
- Resistance 2
- Halo Wars
- Guitar Hero: World Tour / Rock Band 2
There are two things I want to highlight about this list, the first being that NONE of the new exciting games coming out this Q4 are even affiliated with Nintendo or coming out for the Wii. This is because the WIi is not a console, it is a TV board game. The second thing is that all of these games except the 4 console exclusives (2 from Sony, 2 from Microsoft) are coming out for the PC. So, a preemptive happy holidays to those of all games systems, this Q4 season looks like a great few months of games regardless of what system you own (except Wii owners, to whom I also wish a happy holidays, but unfortunately I cannot think of any good games coming to your console).
