I heard the outrage about the animations before ME:A came out. But it didn't look as bad as people were making it out to be and it seemed like more "anti-SJW" outrage: fanboys attacked a female animator, people saying the story was doomed because the developers worried too much about having a diverse cast, blah blah blah blah..... So I bought the game.

Well, I'm only about 8 hours in and so far I agree that the animations and some of the voice acting lines are really bad. The character models are alright (though I hate the short, stubby legs on human models). The irony of all this hate is that I probably would have taken the criticism more seriously and waited to buy the game on sale if it hadn't been so emotionally-charged. The hate was so intense, it drowned out legitimate concerns fans like myself would have when looking to buy this game.

My PC had 4 gigs of ram. Newer games were starting to show some tearing and long load times, so I updated to 8gigs for $60 and the problem went away. These "next gen" consoles are going to have 10-year old hardware. I don't expect to see a lot of advancement in gaming with consoles constantly holding back game designers, especially if this next generation lasts another 7 years.

Just noticed this on newegg and thought someone here might be interested. I'm looking for something a bit lighter for traveling, but I think this is the best budget laptop for >$500 I've found. 1GB AMD Radeon HD 6650M

“We've heard legitimate concerns about the impact the bill could have on access to the Internet and about a potentially unreasonable expansion of the federal government's power to impact the Internet,” said Rubio. “Congress should listen and avoid rushing through a bill that could have many unintended consequences.”

Rubio is so full of crap, I'm surprised he can walk. But he's a great politician. He takes the checks from the big companies, co-sponsors this bill and tries to sneak it through. Now that the masses have been worked up in a fervor, he's managed to turn tail and use it as an argument against "big government". Yep, I think he'll go far in politics. Don't be surprised if you see him running for president in 2012.

A co-op campaign would probably be a bad idea. It would mean taking out or muddling the RPG/storyline aspect of the game in order to have a more general story for whoever is playing. Plus: isn't everyone who plays ME Shepherd? This has me worried that ME3 will just be a shooter with some minor RPG elements. That is not what ME fans want!

If the multiplayer allows you to take your character into some fun environments, with interesting PvP goals and cooperative teamwork, then I'm all for it.

I like having my controller, but I just bought a used 360 wired controller for like $10. The only game I use it for is Arkham Asylum. I tried using it for Deus Ex recently, but the mouse and keyboard is still superior.

If I get this, will it be a substantial upgrade for my  Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3? I'm still a newbie with computer hardware.
I haven't bought ATI/AMD in an age, but I believe the GTX460 series would be substantially faster than the 4850 series from ATI.

According to this comparison, almost double the framerate in some cases.
Thanks! Mine's on the way. Normally I hate MIR deal, but this one was too good to pass up.

Also I remember from somewhere (forgot where) that the majority of Blizzard's sales came from the retail.  Anyone else in that demographic?
This is because they don't sell on Steam. Morons. If they sign exclusively onto Steam, then every other digital distribution platform for PC games will cease to exist. Save for maybe GoG.
Err, what?  Why?
Among virtually everyone I know, the only games that people actually go out to buy full-price retail for are Blizzard games.Considering Steam's ridiculously large userbase at this point, and the fact that they're leading the digital distribution market, if Blizzard were to sign with Steam, it'd be the end of other distribution platforms because nobody would be able to outlast them, except for GoG's niche market in old games.
Because having a monopoly on computer digital downloads is a good idea, right? Blizzard's last expansion was available as a digital download and I'm sure they're not stopping there. Why would they need Steam taking a cut out of their digital downloads?
