The anniversary edition on the PSP is the one I played. A solid remake of the game that kicked it all off, the game is still quite tedious however, and filling up the bestiary is no small task. The bonus labyrinth of time dungeon has to be gone through 8 times and there are two enemies in the game with a 1/64 chance encounter rate. I'm just glad it didn't turn out to be Sakaguchi's last game in the end...

Much better than pong, with an endless amount of imitators and variations on its formula (shatter is my favourite), it all started here.

An awful, awful game. Crap story, terrible system, stupid dancing enemies, cumbersome menus; no satisfaction to be had at all really. Contender for the worst RPG I have played and quite simply one of the worst games I have ever played.
