What is the worst injury you have ever sustained? (in your personal opinion.)

Mine has to be breaking my wrist in 2 different places when I fell down learning to rollerskate. (now having a devoloped fear of them.) first night, I thought everything was fine, just that my arm was really badly bruised, next day, went to doctor, at the docs place, arm starts swelling HUGE and as it turns out, I broke it in 2 different areas. I was able to choose a colored cast to put on, I did NOT choose the glow in the dark one. (dear goodness, how crappy of a excuse would it be to tell people that I wasn't able to sleep because my cast wouldn't turn off with it's glowing.) so I went with black. it was really tight and bugged the ever loving crap out of me that entire month, it was not a good month.

of course, I am certain many people have had worse then me. but I honestly have to say, that was not the most painful injury I have had. A stomach Ulcer is, basically a hole in your gut. I am just thankful it wasn't serious, but it still hurt beyond belief to the point where I would NEVER wish it upon another. it's that horrible. I would describe it, but I don't want anyone disturbed first post in.

What was your worst injury, and your most painful?

@DrPockets000:

No no no no! I did not mean it that way. It will not matter on how good the new massive games look anymore once the wall is hit. all of them would look pretty damn amazing really.

But what I meant was complexities such as, Story, storytelling, pacing, controls, interactivity and gameplay, these all are pretty much symbols of what a amazing videogame is, much like bioshock, a highly complex videogame.

What I meant is games without breadth or a certain wieght to them will start selling much less then the more complex titles. now there would still be a market of them, but it would be a much smaller one then it once was. massively so. to the point where I can personally garentee you that many will call it, "The death of simple videogames!" in many articles in the future, I am willing to bet on it, but in reality, the market is just gonna shrink for those games, not to their deaths, but it is going to be shadowed by videogames like braid and limbo quite a bit.

Not for the fact that a good 95% of it will look amazing, (the other 5% being the indie games.) but for the fact that all resources from the graphic departments will go into other areas in each videogame. Instead of making new milestones in graphics, their is going to be a major shift to writing/interactivity, and gameplay.

Although, we are just seeing the birth of this monstrously huge baby, with titles like Dragon age 2 focusing on story and storytelling along with games trying to toy with both like Dead space 2 and do it amazingly well. to even stylized games like okamiden and wind waker which honestly, always looks amazing to look at no matter the gen it was made on. In fact, I think we are seeing MAJOR shifts in each of these focuses nowadays more often. (Which I personally love.)

The only bad thing I can think of when this happens is how many graphic disigners may go out of a job because they just CAN'T make better graphics. Only the guys who can transition to another way of working, like making art for the game instead would be the only way for them to keep jobs.

That and the death of simple games.(AkA mario andmultiplayer only games with very little depth such as Monday Night combat.) Let's be honest, videogames have been getting MUCH more complex nowadays, heck, they even dwarf the simples ones now. Mario kids games that are good are kinda rare nowadays. sure, there are average ones, but even then they seem like ripoffs of much better videogames that are complex like mass effect or halo 1 or based of the few good kids games like the mario games and zelda.

sure games like them would still be made, but they would be more or less indie titles by then. No offense to any old school fan, I am just stating my opinion on what the future looks like.

One thing I cannot wait to see when the graphic wall is hit, a movie based game doing better than the movie based on it. that will be one WIERD day. when someone would rather expierence a interactive version of inception than watch it. (kinda is happening with the wolverine game but...) even then, it would be surreal to see a videogame with the exact same everything that makes a movie great but is done much better in a interactive format.

Considering also that the videogame industry is HIGHLY competitive, I think we are going to see the wall hit within the next 10 to 15 years I think in my opinion.

Anyone agree with me that once the graphics wall is hit, The true awesomeness will start coming out?

A SERIOUS zombie videogame. which may come out sooner or later. NOT DEAD ISLAND. if any of you guys have seen the trailers, it isn't even CLOSE to a realistic zombie game like dawn of the dead movie. where you have to eat drink and sleep to survive... hell, a freaking mod in fallout new vegas could be done like this and I would be amazingly happy. once I get a gaming rig. but until then I just have to wait for a great zombie game which I think a good 90% of the gaming community would agree to.

Second, you know Red Dead Redemption? Now imagine that game, in a jungle. WITH DINOSAURS!!!! I mean it, they have done zombies and bigfoot, now is about time to freaking make a true dinosaur hunting videogame! I do know one WAS being made for the Xbox, but was quickly canceled, but frankly, we kinda need this, we haven't had one great dinosaur game this gen, might as well make the first true great one.

Anyone agree with me one this? And is anyone wanting a certain type of videogame to be made? like the two above that I would love to see?

This is not a versus topic, but asking who people think is the most powerful videogame charactor in their own opinion.

In my honest opinion, Alex Mercer from prototype is INSANELY overpowered with his natural abilities. Being able to basically eat enemies and gain their likeness and memories pretty much garentees him being a unholy ultrapowered verson of solid snake, abilities which would make the hulk soil himself several times over. (although the same dev did make a hulk game, funny enough.) there are other reasons why he is here, but I will not mention them for being too spoilery.

Honerary mention is, Bayonetta, Dante(from devil may cry), Sora from KH2,(if being able to CUT through things with a blunt object isn't a sign of power, then I don't know what is.)

What is, in your opinion, the most powerful videogame charactor of all time?

I've been on a GTA:SA binge lately, also playing some homefront. (Not even close to a bad game really, much more polished then plenty of others in term of balance. although, it does feel like Battlefields littlebrother.) also been playing some pokemon black on the DS,(MUCH harder then many of the newers ones like diamond.)

Gotta be the second banjo game. I mean, my goodness, I literally played that as a kid NON-STOP. and I don't joke about that, about a week strait with no breaks other then sleep, dinner(sometimes.) lunch. awesome videogame. bad thing though, my eyes got so sensitive to light that once our countie fair came up with some crazy Xboxdome thing with a bunch of videogames being showcased in it, I was unable to play any of the games without my eyes feeling like they bug outta my skull.

I only regret not being able to play that Godzilla fighting game there.
