Lol, I was like Jeff and also wondered why they referenced LA till the number started dropping. (For those that don't know 213 is the area code for LA)
I think Waypoint does this in a better way. They have the reviewer read through the review and then they have a discussion over it. When they do provide a video component it will usually be the same read of the review but with gameplay footage.
One hour is a long time especially when there isn't any gameplay footage to help. This is why I enjoy the quicklooks cause you can essentially provide your review while gameplay is being shown.
@wics1966: I see what you mean. its $40, not sure how much it is for you. I think for me despite it not being innovative i'm just happy that there is an option where i can play all the wario ware games on a current system. I didn't play the wii or the twisted version so i'm happy to have a chance to play those ones. $40 is steep but i'm ok with it so long as i get everything.
I agree with what Brad and Jeff said before releasing these podcasts. These are the most interesting discussions they have had.
In any other year the top 5 games could have been No 1. So we started to see what people really cared about when it came to the best game. For some it was everything was designed incredibly well. Others it was whether the game resonated with them the most and others if it changed the genre landscape. If anything, I was able to understand what meant to most for each Giantbomb member.
Just wanted to say to the team thanks for recording all of these. They don't have to show how the sausage is made but i'm glad they do.
so does anyone know why their post cards never get read for that radio side story? I picked three random stories and they all got read. Are there 3 specific ones they need to send
Jeff was saying the game is easier. While it is easier to get Superb rating, the mini games get much much harder towards the end of the game, but its really satisfying. Great game!
I rarely listen to danswers but i was curious about the whole Greg Miller cancer story. That was emotional and really powerful. @gameovergreggy i haven't listened or watch much of your stuff but thank you for sharing. Your story on chemo made me understand (i know not fully) a little on how tough it is on someone.
I agree with others and hope you guys make this podcast free. This was an amazing episode.
