@passingthrough: @passingthrough: People didn't like it since it didn't last very long so maybe they should of taken the feedback, at least from those who gave it a chance. With limited time they all have if it's doesn't get big enough numbers it won't last, no business can succeed off something liked by only a few hundred people. Listening to your critics is a very important part of working with a fan base. Otherwise you end up as Disney and anything you have of value is destroyed. I fell off quick off this and decided to come back to listen to it again just recently. I appreciate their efforts and love Ben but it did get better, it became clear the quality of the guest is what determined the quality and entertainment value of the episodes.
@nixnutz: 2018 ended up being the last year I listened to any of it more than an hour at most. I agree it starts to get on my nerves, I don't like listening to people argue no matter how "politely" and nitpick things that should be celebrated. I really enjoy how Nextlander does it now.
Uh, incorrect! GB was always about a core group of people playing games! Jeff and Ryan playing games with their friends, Jeff was always the glue though. Sad day for me as GB has been part of my daily life for 12 years now. The archive is only reason I see myself visiting the site. Good luck and I wish you all the best and can find a new strong audience with the change!
Watching this episode again years later makes me really appreciate that Giant Bomb slowly got rid of reviews and focused more and more on Quick Looks! This part made me lol though... No matter what Patrick thought at the time and it sounds like he's learned since is when you post a review for a site it absolutely is that sites review not just Patrick's. Especially with a site like GB, many of us love the site as a whole and the staff even when changes occur as long as Jeff is at the helm. If Patrick were right then why doesn't Metacritic put the reviewers name instead of what they actually do, put the websites name, it's the sites review. It's cool to go back and watch these things years later and see how things evolve.
Oh man, is this the new iteration of the Live Live show?? Missed those events, better in person obviously but under circumstances I'll take what I can get.
@gelatinousgelboy: None of that had anything to do with Abby, was responding to Jeff. Even if it was they are colleagues and would of been a joke as Dan & Abby rib each other all the time. Even in a world where it came across as you think it did, it would not change any interaction or crap Abby gets from trolls as they will target her whether they have a valid reason or not.
