The bottom line is that this is a reason to put off buying the PS3 until it comes down in price. RG is a little short for an RPG, but it is packed with fun. Between this and FFXII, I am content to wait quite a while for the PS3 (at least until FFXIII comes out which is likely to be another two years). The graphics in the game are almost identical to DQ8, which is a good thing. Sometimes games are so set on realistic graphics that you lose all sense of imagination. With so much hype going into Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey at the same time, it was hard to not get excited if you are an RPG fan. With the lack-luster performance of Blue Dragon, my expectations were drastically lowered for Lost Odyssey. This may have actually been a good thing.
