great article. i enjoyed reading it a lot

Now we are a few more months down the line following the buyout, I'm wondering if the general consensus is still the same? I'm new and seriously thinking about dropping some money on it.

@Bourbon_Warrior: Both fantastic games i agree, however i don't think the Arkham games are directly tied into a movie, and the Walking Dead certainly doesn't have a movie so they don't qualify in my rules. Maybe someone should do a top 10 comic book tie in games?

I'm looking to build my first gaming PC. I'm a complete noob and up to this point have stuck exclusively to console. This has really helped. Thanks a lot.

@MarkWahlberg: hah, i have to admit, i never played that one.

@NTM: I liked the fighting mechanic for that game if i remember correctly. Very short though.

@egg: That's actually quite an interesting thought. These so called "good" games feed my hobby and keep my love for gaming ticking over nicely, but its when a truly fantastic game in my own opinion grabs me that i feel most validated as a gamer. Conversely, maybe theres also something in playing a bad game that creates more of an appreciation and understanding of the better games.
