Hideo Kojima's GRASS ROOTS VAPE VAN REVEMPTION

Drive around San Francisco as Hideo Kojima in a vape van, fultoning people and objects to upgrade your FOVV's (Forward Operating Vape Van's) inventory and sell the highest quality vapes and vaping accessories. Recruit various giant bomb personalities including Solid Scanlon. Hide your vape van in a large cardboard box to avoid Konami's copyright lawyers.

"These aren't my smokes... they're... better!"

This will consist of

(1) 2D Side scrolling cycling loop of a slice of the street that CBS interactive is located (Or cheap facsimile thereof)

(1) Animated vape van that drives Left to Right only, can fire fulton devices to the right, and can disguise as a cardboard box

-Walking NPCs and miscellaneous fulton-able objects

-An upgrade window for upgrading and selling your inventory

(2) Music loops, 1 for roaming the street, and 1 for upgrading and selling

-A codec style conversation window for Kojima and his vape customers.

-Ongoing gameplay loop where you keep playing until you get busted by Konami lawyers (You lose some of your money, staff, and inventory every time you get busted)

-Bootleg Sonic the Hedgehog synthetic weed

I am an artist and animator and intend to provide sprites and art assets. I would like to learn a little more about either Game Maker or Unity out of this experience from a programmer that would like to team up with me on this project. I welcome anyone that would like to join or contribute in the form of art, music, short written dialog exchanges between kojima and customers, sound fx, or code. Please PM me if interested.

What made REmake so great was that it added a few new areas, puzzles, and enemies alongside the core game we knew. Encountering your first crimsonhead was scary.

Oh yeah and this for sure. I would love to see crimsonheads back in the picture.

When RE4 came out, I wanted nothing more than a remake of RE2 with that control scheme. When RE6 came out, I never wanted a game like that again. I'm ready for a REmake style adaptation of RE2. I want tank controls, Raccoon City, Scenario A and Scenario B, and I will tolerate a few Lisa Trevor style additions to the mix. RE2 was a more perfect game than the original Resident Evil, and messing too much with the classic design would be risky.

I think we know what Kojima's crowdfunded next game should be about: Sneaking around the Konami offices, avoiding cameras, passing off secret messages to co-workers.

@nags: In terms of the visual evolution between SF2, SF3, and SF4, it looks a LOT like SF4 and Street Fighter X Tekken, which is a disappointment to me for a new numbered Street Fighter game. Not hating on SF4, but I was ready for a larger step.

If it's true that they're trying to get back to the basics of SF3, they should also be pulling from what made that game so visually lush, from the interesting desaturated colors, to the elasticity of the animation, and be bringing that into 2.5D

So far I'm more impressed with how Xrd has married classic sprite animation with 3D

I didn't see any new footage in the trailer, only street fighter 4 stuff. God I hope SFV doesn't look like Street Fighter 4
