First off I just want to say Great Blog!      
 
I doubt that the music rhythm genre will completely die down, Yes its popularity has dropped but Harmonix will continue to innovate in future titles and continue to support their products with weekly DLC. Rock Band is still my go to game whenever people come over, everyone always seems to have a great time banging on those plastic instruments and a growing music library always encourages play.   
 
Maybe Activisons ending of the Guitar Hero franchise is the best thing to happen to the genre since the market won't be flooded with music games anymore.

I would take a good long look in the mirror and say "What the hell is wrong with me, I can't believe I don't  like  the most popular game in the world" and then shoot myself in the head.

What's the point of this list and why would anyone care?

If Nintendo did release a new Duck Hunt I'm sure PETA would be up in arms against the game
