@Stahlbrand: I'd agree with that actually, about Snow. On real guitar, you'd hold the chord with your left hand, adding extra stuff here and there with your pinkie, and letting your right hand doing the strumming, picking out the notes into an arpeggio. Whereas in the Rock Band chart, you had to strum each individual note, and press each one when told, so it's as if you're trying to play it note-for-note, rather than holding a chord and strumming.

You need those ports on the back of your drum kit, the colour-coded yellow, blue and green ports. On my Beatles: Rock Band kit, they're below the bass pedal port. 
AFAIK, the RB1 kit doesn't have ports for the cymbals.
