My favorite games I've played in the last year and a few I'm looking forward to.

In a year where I became the father of twin girls. My gaming has shifted heavily to short bursts on my 3ds and iphone. I managed to get in a small amount of gaming in the beginning of the year though. So, new and old, this is what I've enjoyed.

List items

  • Still determined to get all the achievements in this one at some point.

  • Top game of the year. Never played a Fire Emblem before. This one was perfect for me to play these past few months. Looking forward to more of these becoming more easily available on the eshop.

  • There's a lot that I didn't like about this game. But overall it was nice. Enjoyed playing a portable Zelda before eventually getting A Link between worlds.

  • I'm determined to finish this before I move on to Link Between Worlds. Bought it on wii virtual console so it was nice to have a reason to turn that thing on again. What a great game! It had been so long since I beat it as a kid on my SNES.

  • Love the puzzles in this one, great for short bursts to get through one or two. The mechanics are pretty great.

  • Such a great Mario game! I'm still stuck on the last level.

  • Still only have the first badge because I got hooked on Fire Emblem after I had only played this for a short time. Looking forward to getting back in and catching em all.

  • Wonderful online adds a big challenge to this. This and 3D Land made me love my 3DS, Fire Emblem made me keep my 3DS on me at all times.

  • I love all of these Picross games. But my wife is completely hooked. This and Pokemon are the reasons she now has a 3DS... but mostly this.

  • This one I'm looking forward to. I was never big into JRPGs but the demo got me interested, so once I'm done with FIre Emblem I'm thinking I might move on to this.

  • Not getting an XboxOne anytime soon and I don't have a PC, so if I get this it'll be on the 360. I hope it'll be fun on there.
