O no, it's not a Mario game... so let's shit on it for half an hour. This game is fine, it's far from perfect, but it's charming in its own way. The story is pretty well done, the level design, contrary to what Dan said, is actually fairly well done, besides a few end game levels. The major complaint that I agree with him on, is that they completely fucked classic Sonic. This plays like a mishmash of Sonic 1 and 2, but with the slowness of Sonic 4 Episode 1. In general the game last about 6-8 hours and if you want to complete it, look forward to around 20 hours. Every version besides the Switch version will probably drop to $20 before year's end.
I love how they added random references to D'ni language from Myst into this game, to make it atleast appear to be in the same universe, atleast for those of us nerds that actually spent the time to learn D'ni proper.
@loginrejected: VR games are far from standardized 16:9 formats that are easy to capture or display outside of wearing the Vive / Rift. And even if they booted every game up and made a scene for each one, sizes, placement on screen or even stupid stuff like the Windows Firewall might pop up, so Jason and Drew just edit it live to fit the best they can.
Also, being able to see Dan's reactions to what Jeff is doing, is a nice touch, since some of us want to know how dumb we look while playing room scale games.
