@noelveiga: There are many things to consider, even though the "EN pedazos" is the gramatically correct way to say it. "A pedazos" its valid in the Americas. I can tell you that I've heard it from many people from different countries around north, central and south america, and probably would be the way I would say it (I'm from Costa Rica).
But then again you could hear both ways depending of where that person is from, not only by country, but if they are from the city or from the countryside.
In the context of the game things get funny. Sure the grammar can be off, but considering it's weird mutant village possessed people, their way of talking makes sense and actually works for the intentions of the game, and pronunciation and accent is not bad, it's good.
The only thing that bothers me, like I said before, is the regional accent, it's supposed to be Spain, and because Spaniards are known to be very "academic" about their language (to the point that it can get really annoying), "EN pedazos" would be the correct way for this game.
As for the racist tropes claims, I really don't see it, like I said the Spanish work is actually good, and considering the context of the game it kinda works and is believable. So in my opinion, I see no racist tropes in this game, and digging for them is just looking for drama of something that doesn't exist.
Resident Evil 5 with the African tribe village level... well... that is another story.
@noelveiga: Honestly the spanish from the villagers is not that bad, it sounds like an average latin american dub which is usually made in mexico... Which brings out the terrible part, you are supposed to be in Spain, and the accent and grammar is completely off.
So yeah... Mexican village in Europe Spain, that is fucking weird.
@milkman: I can tell you with great confidence that the original is better, but it's because I watched the Latin American Dub, which is insanely good and uses the original Japanese music. I tried watching the original English dub.. and man, you guys got it rough.
