I almost shut off the podcast when I heard that Vinny was playing the iOS version of 999.
Kinda sounds ideal to me since every time I hear something about that game it's followed by how shitty the puzzles are.
Play whatever version you want but the puzzles were an important part of the game for me, I certainly wouldn't call them shitty, and there were a lot of character interactions during those segments that I thought added a lot. Also it is super important to play that game on a device that has two screens in order for a certain twist to really work.
But whatever, as long as you know what Ice-9 is then I guess you're good.
Just read Cat's Cradle and skip the game entirely.
