dan and drew's metal gear scanlon was the reason I signed up for premium back in the date even though i started my time with the site about 10 years ago. Sometimes I have to remind myself this is a real person and not some charicature drawn to life. At the same time I'm very jealous of his super eager and optimistic energy. GB will never be the same but thank you for all youve done for the site.
I know this is an unpopular option but empire was my favorite of the series. I loved Rome way back when and medieval 2 needs a revisit for sure. Shogun and the recent Rome just didn’t give satisfaction in terms of rts
I understand this was not mean spirited towards jeff as these guys are pretty much family to one another (i assume). It just irked me because he kept getting interrupted every. single. time. I just hate getting interrupted when I speak and as a guy who works in customer service full time, this was tough for me to listen to. Kudos Jeff for not breaking out of the bit and just going with the blows.
I would have preferred if they took turns riffing on each other. After Jeff was "burned" then they all shit on Alex and then Abby. And then Vinny. Before finally throwing jokes on Dan's behalf but he would brush them off because he is a goofy dude.
I know there was not any ill will from the podcasters, but it was like a poor comedy, too much repetition.
PS: the whole roasting your friends is fine if you have a good relationship. My friends and I do it all the time but if it gets annoying or too personal we tell each other to lay off. This is not just friends having a conversation, this is a audible medium to entertain their audience. If Jeff was offended in anyway I hope he tells the crew. If he was not, I hope they take the feedback here to recognize that maybe they need to tone down the negativity and bring back that warm atmosphere that so many of us associate with the GiantBeast crew and this website as a whole. This isn't a lecture about "you can't say bad things to your friends as a joke blah blah blah" because I like when they have these impromptu bits where they riff on each other and then they switch it around to another member.
Also, Abby please do not ask why early teenage boys do the things they do. The answer is they were horny and they don't think. Your insight was hilarious and I appreciate your candid attitude and what it brings to the boys club you deal with in that booth!
