I recently landed my first job out of college as a middle school English teacher. A part of me is still terrified, but I'm really excited to have a classroom to myself and be a liberal-ass teacher in a conservative-ass community.

I'm still seeing it as $60 on Steam--is the price drop just for consoles?

I also read their weekend update, which announces a new character coming to the game soon as part of "five FREE characters post-launch." Their emphasis, not mine.

I'm not buying a MOBA(-lite) at any price where I have to both unlock characters and eventually pay for them. I have bought many a League character in my life, but as that product is free, it's just me paying back into a game I've enjoyed.

It's really hard to judge these new cards in light of the upcoming balance changes on the Basic and Classic cards that is also arrive with the Standard format. I see C'Thun, and I think, "Big Game Hunter says hello." I'm excited for new cards, particularly with the Inspire and Discover mechanics that could have a lot of fun flavor with the corrupted Old God theme throughout... but it's hard to know how exactly this will affect Wild or Standard currently.

I'm still preordering the hell out of it though.

I want to try something new. I usually do what appears to be a stock "sneaky, charismatic dude with guns" build, but I wanna go for an energy weapons route that focuses on crafting.

  • Strength: 3, to get to the armor perk
  • Perception: 5, to get to the explosives crafting perk
  • Endurance: 4, because.
  • Charisma: 6, for settlement fun.
  • Intellect: 6, for all the crafting perks.
  • Agility: 2. I might drop a point out of endurance just so I can have more AP.
  • Luck: 2. I've never had high luck in Fallout games and am not going to start now.

I'm really excited to give this build a shot and try something new. It'll be interesting playing without sneaking around as that's how I typically played most of these games.

Maybe now I can play with other human beings finally. (Randos for strikes aren't human beings, as far as I'm aware.) PSN is Ethermagus42. :)

If Austin says that this game does something interesting with the Light/Dark side stuff, I might have to give it another shot. I wanted to like KotOR, but the morality of stock Star Wars is so profoundly boring that I couldn't finish what was otherwise an interesting enough game. If there's some actual nuance to it and not a binary, "Do you want to be a Space Hippy or Space Asshole," that'd be rad.

I JUST finally noticed that Humanity's Bloodborne piece has a good joke in Jeff's reflection on the ground. It's also made for a rad background for my phone!

Micolash is the point where I really become obsessed with the story of the game, and it was a fun change of pace in the boss design.

I'm sad that I've encountered at least three bosses that ended up "not working" in the right way. Martyr Logarious never went through his transformations / stages (I parried him five times in a row from a slow weapon swing, him only ever casting a spell once) and Mergo's Wet Nurse only used one attack where he walked forward and swiped his blades a bunch. I also think the Shadows ended up being simple for me by getting the caster behind the giant tomb, and using the Rifle Spear's two-handed R2 attack to charge into the others from out of their attack range.

The boss I've struggled with most has been a toss-up between the Blood-Starved Beast, whose attacks I never got a handle on, and Rom, whose ice meteor spell I could never reliably dodge so I often died just running across the lake--or would get trampled in melee range with little if any discernible tell.

I got my first full-sized box and am mostly into it. I'm usually running between classes so having a quick snack is nice, and I don't have too many options for where I live on my budget. It's a bit expensive, but I get a much better variety of stuff than I would otherwise be able to get, and, for me, the price is worth not just eating trail mix and pretzels for the rest of my life.

I am the R.O.B. percent.

I voted for ROB but I'm playing both him and Bowser at the moment. I dig the heavier characters and am still figuring out who I like. I dig ROB's range, but Bowser's side smash just feels like sex and it's too good to quit.
