@pctechnologist: Hotspot was a Gamespot podcast that most or all of these four were on when they were at Gamespot.

They brought it back as a result of the pandemic - maybe to take the place of UPF? It's been going (again) for a few months.

Gotta say, I hate things like this where I have to like and follow and stuff like that. I can hear my personal information being sold.

I just got a laptop with a high res screen (it's like Retina but it's a Chromebook), and I noticed that some of the thumbnails on Giant Bomb look better than others. On the homepage, for example, the three recent videos use thumbnails that are 640x360 -- like this:

But carousels use lower resolution thumbnails that are 320x180 -- like this:

If the carousels used the 640x360 images, they'd look a lot better on retina-like displays.

I have a feeling we're going to hear Jeff say the exact same things about RDR2 in the GOTY discussions.

you better believe that there are people who will manage to get halfway through a game without realizing that they can do things like allocate skill points or level up

Yeah, I got to Hong Kong in the original Deus Ex without leveling up any skills or anything. When I realized what I had done, I stopped. It wasn't until Kotor 1 that I learned how to play an RPG.

Anyone else's podcast app not picking up this episode? I use Overcast and it isn't showing it.
