Wolf's Den: Part 2

I finally got FFIV DS!! Woo! I haven't started it yet, as I just got back from Best Buy. I'll probably be playing this game when I go on vacation this Saturday. There will be about an 8 hour drive, so I'll definitely be needing my DS and PSP. I also picked up Space Invaders: Extreme for the DS. The game's getting really good reviews (except on GS - surprise, surprise...) and after watching some videos and reading some reviews, I decided it was something I could really have fun with. I played the first Space Invaders, but not much.

I don't know about you guys, but this site runs REALLY slow for me and it's starting to really annoy. I've been having to wait 10-20 seconds for every page to load! I'm running Safari on a Macbook, but I know it's not my computer because it's usually pretty fast.

Today I also got a mini-fridge for my dorm room. Unfortunately, when I opened the box and got it out I see a pretty big dent in the side!!! WTF?!? So I'll be taking that back to Target tomorrow and exchanging it for a new one. I didn't pay $115 for a dented fridge damnit!

Busy Day

Well, I didn't get FFIV today : ( . I was just too busy tying up some loose ends before the college semester starts. I will definitely be getting it tomorrow though! I spent most of today looking at different things for my dorm, but didn't really buy anything. Other than that, nothing really happened today... I'll probably have a longer update tomorrow. Until next time!

Wolf's Den: Part 1

Hello, I'm Lone_Wolf! My username on Gamespot is Lone_Wolf5860. I don't plan on abandoning Gamespot completely, but Giant Bomb will probably be my main site for the community. So, without further ado...

I picked up a few games on Saturday from a local Gamestop for a great price! I was originally going to go there for Advance Wars: Dual Strike for DS, but I started snooping and found some good deals. First, I got Advance Wars: Dual Strike for $30 used, then I found Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal for PS2 for $15 used and Golden Sun for GBA for $8 used. I thought they were pretty good deals, so I picked them up. Advance Wars and R&C both came with original cases and manuals. All games are in great condition and work perfectly! Hopefully I will get some more time later to get a good start on Advance Wars.

On the reading front, I'm in the middle of The Host by Stephanie Meyer (the author of the Twilight series which has taken the world by storm) and I'm really enjoying it. The book really makes you think about what it means to be human. The only thing I don't like about the book is that it often gets rather "lovey-dovey" >. > which I am not really a fan of. I plan on reading the Twilight books just to see what the big deal is about, hopefully they aren't too sappy...
