Okay, well then £349 - 20% VAT is £280. If you convert that to USD you get $395. So it seems a pretty good deal to me!

Is it really that bad? Comes out to around $411 USD with the current exchange rate. The British price, on the other hand, is exceedingly high - over $490 USD (or $660 CAD).

... and as usual, people don't take into account that VAT is included in the UK price at 20%. The price in USD needs to have sales tax added, so perhaps you should rethink that. At a converted price of $490, nearly $100 of that is VAT, which makes the UK equivelent price $395!
