I'm surprised Warcraft 3 Reforged is what makes Brad worried about Blizzard. For me I arrived at the conclusion they were gone after the entirely forgettable StarCraft 2, and when Diablo 3 was shipped as a poorly balanced bad game.

At this point they're a wait and see developer like everyone else.

Speculation - the new higher powered switch could have a 1080p screen and play games as if it were docked while portable.

Depending on how close to hardware the games are its also possible that at some point Google will remove the old hardware from their data centres and the new hardware won't run the games you previously acquired.

I can't see red very well - Jeff

Sitting at a red table across from two people wearing red....

It's been explained many, many times on this site, in podcasts, in Quick Looks and on Livestreams before (and someone in the Radical Heights preview even posted a help graphic illustration of Deuteranopia on the comments section there.)

I'm well aware of how colour blindness works. If you can't see the humour in someone saying they can't see red whilst surrounded by it I'm hardly going out out on a limb in saying you're not a fun person to spend time with.

The torturer looks like Tom Cruises character in Tropic Thunder.

I feel like Activision isn't the only publisher destroying their IP by releasing too often - Forza, Gears of War, and Halo have all achieved meh status.

It works for Forza Horizon, because those games are substantially different to each other, but I've been bouncing around between Forza 5/6/7 over the past few weeks (cleaning up achievements) and honestly the differences are pretty slight. If you own Forza N, there's not a whole lot new to be interested in Forza N+1 (mostly same tracks, mostly same cars, modes are the same or less etc.), at least post-4 when they aren't making big leaps forward nor refining the formula still.

I don't think it even works for Forza Horizon, its not about doing something new or well merely frequent releases wears away enthusiasm players have for the IP.

Personally I find the criticism of Abby's arguments is unfounded, she made her points and what she didn't do was re-iterate the details ad-nauseam as was done for Nier and Zelda which is what stretched this episode out to 5-hours. That said, I don't consider Dream Daddy, Tell Tale Games, and their ilk to be video games.

There should also have been much more criticism of Zelda:

  • The mechanics in the game are bad. I played through the entire game without knowing the inventory can be expanded which vastly exacerbates the annoyance of destructible weapons and arrived at Ganon without a shield which left me waiting for lizard to recharge multiple times. Stamina outside of combat is not fun. Crafting is (imo) a bad mechanic and Zelda's implementation is particularly poor with bad controls, a long cut scene and no stored recipes. As covered in the podcast rain sucks, but lightning is just dumb. There is no opportunity for preference in gear, its almost entirely decided by what activity you're doing.
  • The game is poorly balanced, my meandering path found no challenge until the water boss which proceeded to one shot me, I eventually found a fairy and an upgrade or two trivialized combat for the remainder of the game.
  • There is virtually no story and the NPCs behaviour is inconsistent with what little story there is. Oh Link, you're back to save the world? Do this mundane task for me and give me money.
  • The world feels lifeless and lacks diversity. To me I think back to EverQuest 20-years ago and the vibrancy of a similar landmass even without other players is leagues beyond what Zelda accomplishes with the sole exception of interactivity.

For me the high point of the game was stepping out of the cave and seeing the box art.
