Brad: I dunno, I really don't like the way this game feels. Which way am I supposed to go again? They didn't tell me what we were supposed to be doing. These older games were really terrible at giving you a proper sense of direction.
Patrick: The gameplay-narrative segregation in these older titles is ostensibly the worst part about the entire experience.
Brad: It's really hard to see your character on these pre-rendered backgrounds. This game could really benefit from a feature that shows you where you're standing and where all the exits are, you know?
Patrick: Don't worry, I hear this game is supposed to pick up after the opera sequence.
@Pr1mus: War of the Lions has some pretty bad slowdown and noticeably worse audio quality. But the translation is actually good, animated cutscenes, and some scenes that were cut from the Playstation version were added in. So it's tough to say which version is truly better, but it's a great game either way.
The last time I enjoying grinding was in Digital Devil Saga because of dat battle music. I must've heard it hundreds of times and never got tired of it.
