Best of 2009

Marino: Best of 2009

List items

  • I nearly played through it one sitting. I just couldn't put it down.

  • I (unlike alot of people) loved the first one, and this was leagues ahead of the original.

  • I think I have close to 100 hours logged on it now. And I still can't figure out what I'm missing for the Traveler achievement.

  • Incredible game that is getting overlooked in GOTY awards simply because it came out so long ago. If there was an award for Game of Jan-Jun 2009, this would easily win.

  • At PAX 2009, when the doors opened on Day 3, others ran to Diablo III, Starcraft, Left 4 Dead 2, or Halo 3 ODST. I ran to Borderlands.

  • I was never a huge fan of The Beatles, but the game resolved that issue. As if Rock Band wasn't already the perfect party game, everyone knows Beatles songs and will join in. I'm ready for RB3 now though.

  • Easily one of the best sports games ever. The Road to the Show mode could be its own retail game.

  • Another awesome game that gets overlooked. It came out in January and I dumped a serious amount of hours into it.

  • I'm not really a comic and/or Batman fan, but this game is simply a great game. You don't have to say it's a great comic book game or a great Batman game. It's just a great game, period.

  • I debated several downloadable games to add to my list, but I decided to go with an original idea. Flower was just an amazing experience.
