We finally got around to recording a 360 Podcast! We gave it the number zero because it could all go well, or all go wrong. Like a beta test of some sort.
This podcast only has the owner of the site and myself, but we are hoping to have three or four people in the next podcast.
So I was hoping we TGC would start up the Wii podcast tonight. Turns out that is not happening. I was the only one who showed up to make the podcast, which was disappointing. I was hoping to host this podcast, but I guess I'll have to wait another week.
So here is the podcast schedule
TGC 360 Podcast - Recorded Tuesday night, put up very early Wednesday morning (2 or 3 am) or Wednesday night.
TGC Wii Podcast - Recorded Thursday night put up very early Friday morning (2 or 3 am) or Friday night.'
Let's hope the podcast actually get recorded next week.
So I finally wrote up a review. It's been awhile since I wrote one, but I really wanted this to look as "professional" as it can. It still probably looks like crap to all of you though.
I wrote the review up for The Gamers Cafe, but I've been posting it up everywhere else like Digg and N4G and now Giant Bomb. I don't buy too many games too often because of my lack of cash, but I should working a job soon, which means I can bring in some more cash and maybe buy more games. Or maybe save up for a Mac? That could take awhile.
So I was a sometimes active user on GameSpot. Although I was never a big fan of the site itself, I always enjoyed the community.
Ever since Giant Bomb launched, it has basically replaced GameSpot, but in a way Giant Bomb still feels similar to GameSpot. Don't get me wrong, when I say Giant Bomb reminds me of GameSpot, I mean it feels like GameSpot, but it feels like what GameSpot should have been in the first place. A much more community based site, that is not full of industry crap.
As soon as I got that feeling, GameSpot decided to do a site rehaul. And guess what? The new site design is very, and I mean very similar to Giant Bomb. Here is what I recommend GameSpot does.
Fire everyone that write's for them. I dislike all the writers, they have no character.
Less ad's, please. It's pathetic how many ad's they run. Don't like the ad's? Give them money for a gold membership. Don't get me wrong, I understand ad's are what brings in the money, and over time Giant Bomb is probably gonna start running ad's, but GameSpot is basically an ad running agency.
Thats all for the first post. All I can really say is please check out the site I write for, The Gamers Cafe. I'm the Editor-In-Chief for the Nintendo team. We write about all consoles, and soon we are gonna start up our podcast's. Thanks for reading.
