I was against password managers but after reading about how easy it is to crack passwords these days (on Arstechnica) it seems almost a must.

I started using KeyPass 2...it stores passwords but you can use it to create random passwords (which is customizable) and I really like that feature.

I kind of have the same problem and I looked for a way to throttle their connection speed but it seems home routers do not really have that ability (even using DD-WRT firmware). However my router had the ability to setup a guest wireless network (which looks just like a normal wireless network)...so I put the hog on the guest wireless network and everyone else on the main wireless network. When the internet hog is causing a problem; I turn off the guest network. When they ask why the network isn't working, you just say "I don't know. It is working fine for me; must be something on your end."

So if your router allows a guest wireless network, you would just set your current SSID and network password to the guest network. Then for the main wireless network you will have to create a new SSID and network password and change all the wireless devices to use the new network.

Also as people mentioned, online games do not use much bandwidth. So your brother is either torrenting stuff or his computer is full of malware.

I think it is a good idea. I believe the idea is if you have to pay that much for early access you are really into the game and will provide constructive feedback to improve the game. It also weeds out the people who would not understand that the product is an alpha and not the final product. Since the alpha is a small group of people and the development team can handle the problems and issues that will arise from that small group.

This staged price drop approach will allow the developer focus on the most important issues and not be overwhelmed by the user base or frivolous problems by an uninformed gamer.

I was going to post something similar but I believe MS should drop DRM on discs. If they believe the future is digital then implement their loan/give for only digitally bought games; it would give people a reason to buy the digital version. Lastly allowing you to sell your digitally purchased games (but like you said with time restrictions) would generate good will because no other digital system allows that.

Mainly I want them to do it so Steam will try to implement it as well (well one can hope).

The people of Poland will not be able to play The Witcher 3 on XBox One....I guess they are PC people.

@wuddel: I don't agree with that statement. The PS4 is more powerful than the X-Box One, that is a fact. Now if you want to argue how much faster you could debate that until you are blue in the face.

Since the beginning PC gaming was for the people who liked challenges. When that new SimCity game came out and I heard all the problems it was having, I didn't buy it but decided to play SimCity 4 again...so I dug out the CDs...installed all 3 discs...searched the web for the official patches, which luckily EA/Maxis still have on a super old website. For older games this was much worse (setting sound card settings, IRQs, DMAs).

Because of the advances in operating systems, drivers and even Steam; PC gaming has been made much easier (but there are still issues...hey have you updated to the latest video driver...try that and see if it fixes your problems). That is one of the reasons I put up with Steam; it made PC gaming easier and I never pay full price for a game.
