@spaceinsomniac: It's so strange. The stuff that seemed like it would be fun may have turned out to be even better than we expected, but the things that seemed off or busted are apparently much worse ...

  • Mirado posted a message in the forum topic Reviews dropping in 3 hours.... on the Mass Effect: Andromeda board

Seems like the lower scores ran into more bugs, which makes me hope that the experience can be improved if some of them can be hammered out. This review in particular is really damming:Now for the sec...

Seems like my prediction might be on the high side...I had a hunch that the problems wouldn't magically go away after you moved past the trial areas, but it's a shame that they seem fairly endemic.

  • Mirado posted a message in the forum topic Guess the Metacritic score for Mass Effect: Andromeda. on the Mass Effect: Andromeda board

I'm thinking a flat 80. It depends on how well the gameplay (not just the shooting, but whether or not it's fun to explore planets and how interesting it is to do things on them) is able to cover up t...

  • Mirado posted a message in the forum topic 17 minutes of Mass Effect Andromeda Gameplay Footage. on the Mass Effect: Andromeda board

First off, I really think they shot themselves in the foot with their choice of mission; they went with something that has far greater hand-holding narration than a normal mission would (by their own ...

  • Mirado posted a message in the forum topic What difficulty do you play your games on?. on the General Discussion board

Normally I play on the hardest option, unless it becomes clear that it's poorly designed (just inflated enemy health/more damage) or meant as a New Game+ challenge (you could do an Insanity run in Mas...

@artisanbreads: Oh sure, the clunkiest part of ME1 is by far the combat. I just meant they went out of their way to explain why they moved to "thermal clips" in ME2 and 3 (including in-universe) and h...

  • Mirado posted a message in the forum topic Mass Effect Andromeda: Combat gameplay. on the Mass Effect: Andromeda board

I like the reintroduction of unlimited ammo, heat-buildup weapons, but I have to laugh at their attempt to make them seem brand new when, yo, that was Mass Effect 1, dawg. They also seem to be simpli...
