Is that a pentagon?

First of all, before I get into this little blog, I want to thank all of you for the kind words of support, and for those of you who also reached out to me, and shared your stories, thank you again. It takes a lot to share something like that with someone else, and I really appreciate it. Moving on...

GEOMETRY WARS FUCKING 2! Yes. I love it. It's intense, mind-blowing and full of colors and light... wait. That's not always good. Actually there's a lot of flashing lights and shape-y explosions, almost to much to bear. Check this NEW VIDEO out to understand exactly what I'm talking about.

Hope you liked my little feature there. That pretty much is what will happen to you if you play this fucking game to much. It's nuts. Full review of this new arcade classic in the new Awesomeness, hitting the shelves this weekend!

Anyway, I bought a 1600 Microsoft Point Card today. I have 850 MSpoints left. Any suggestions? Alright guys, leave some love and go check out Day 3 of The Best and Worst of Mr. Bojangles, over at my Gamespot profile. Talk to you tomorrow!

'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony this life...

Wow. Today was kind of a roller coaster ride for me. One minute, I'm making plans to see Step Brothers with my mom, the next, I come home, get online, and one of my friends on Gamespot's left me a PM stating that MY DAD IS TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ME. Here's some backstory, and I don't care who reads it, that's why I'm putting myself out here;

My dad left my mother and I when I was six. Of course they were both fighting and he was having an affair and blah blah blah, typical divorce stuff. But the thing is, he never reached out to me before. He left WHEN I WAS SIX!!! I mean, it's been so long, and I haven't heard anything from him. Never a Christmas card, or anything. His side of the family never made contact either, even though a restraining order was placed on him alone.

My mom, who was a stay-at-home-mom, was left WITH NOTHING. We moved in with my Aunt for a while, in her ONE-BEDROOM APARTMENT, putting a big burden on her. She slept on the couch for Christ's sake, just to give me and my mom a place to sleep. My mom eventually got a job, and somehow, making the BARE MINIMUM (not minimum wage, just a really low salary), got us our own apartment in less than a year, and somehow, gave me a middle-class life, living on POVERTY FUNDS. She is really amazing with handling money. She's a really strong, amazing person. You wouldn't believe the shit she's been through. Some people who go through the stuff she's seen, ARE ADMITTED TO METAL INSTITUTIONS!!!

Anyway, my dad also sent me some messages on Youtube, saying he was proud my videos. I was in shock. This guy, who was once my father, who I haven't spoken a word to in twelve years, just found me, and contacted me out of the blue. I didn't know what to do. I was conflicted. Long stor y short, (too late) I called him and spoke with him, after some metal deliberation, and he told me his sides, which I took with a grain of salt for now, I wasn't in the mood to just up and believe what he had to say over my mom right away, and I eventually will see him and my THREE HALF-BROTHERS in the future. It's a real mess.

There's a little more to it, but I think you get the gist of my situation. I got over it kind of quickly, as he was never really a factor in my life before, and because I was going to see STEP BROTHERS!!! My mother and I went and really enjoyed it. It's hard for her to admit she likes Will Ferrel but she kin da did after seeing this film. To me, it was really enjoyable, I loved almost every second of that film, every face made by Ferrel and Riley. I loved them together in Talladega Nights, and I loved them even more here. They're some duo, maybe the modern day Abbot an Costello. I think this film deserved better reviews because it wasn't reallt trying to be serious. It was almost a fantasy movie. To sum it all up, it was hilarious. If you liked Talladega Nights, why haven't you seen this movie already? If you just like Ferrel, that also warrants a viewing in theatres.

Alright guys, thanks for reading this MEGA BLOG. Leave some love, and go check out my GS profile for another day of my Best and Worst series. Thanks guys!

Out and about.

So, as you know it's summer. I've been quite busy, and yesterday had no time for video games. Went out and hung out with people all night, finally going to sleepy-land and 7 am this morning. We didn't drink or anything, but we still, somehow managed to stay up all night and have a great time. After we party again this evening, I hope to settle down with Civilization tomorrow night, after seeing STEP BROTHERS, and really get into this awesome game.

Oh yeah guys, if you're interested, I started my new series, my LAST series on Gamespot, The BEST and WORST of Mr. Bojangles, so check it out at my gamespot profile and leave some love. Take it easy, and a new Awesomeness will be at your disposal this weekend!!!

Just when I thought I was out...

...they're trying to pull me back in. Over at Gamespot, they're trying out a new layout, and boy, I'll tell you, it's nice. But honestly, they don't need to worry about their layout as much as they need to worry about their content. You see, Giantbomb is all about the people, and Gamespot's seemed to have lost that touch. Giantbomb is really well put together, and it's only been up for a WEEK! They can only get better here. They're working out the kinks, and making a phenominal website. I do have to give credit where credit is due though. The beta layout for Gamespot is looking really sleek and attractive. Go check it out... but then come right back here to Giantbomb.

On another note, I had fun at the barbeque I went to yesterday, which was part of that busy weekend I mentioned. I saw a lot of old friends who were suprised to see how much I changed. Weight, and personality wise. It was a lot of fun to see those peeps, after not seeing them for a year or two.

Well, I'm home today, and I can't decide what to play on this rainy day in Jersey. Maybe I'll hop on Live later and join some of you for some Awesomeness.

Alright guys, talk to you later. Leave some love.

Civil-i-can't stop playing this game!

So, as you may, or may not be aware of, I picked up Civilization Revolution yesterday.

Out of the 30 some odd hours I've had the game in my possession, I've played a good 10 hours or so. And I slept about 8-10 hours last night. So you can see, I've play this game a lot. Even though I've played so much, I'm still not sure how much I like it. I dominate of the easiest difficult, as I should, but when I move up to King level (which is the middle difficulty setting)  I get my shit rocked. Hard. And I tried like 3 times already. I can't seem to get my city set up quick enough to endure the oncoming attacks. It's difficult.

I'm going to give this game a real shot. I'm not used to this type of game. It's a new experience for me, and I want to like it. If anyone has any tips for me, they would be well appreciated.

On another note, no Awesomeness this week. I've got a real busy weekend planned, and probably won't be home for most of it. But hey, I did upload two Awesomenesses last week. Check those out again if you want a taste.

New Awesomeness next week, including a review of Civilization Revolution.

I like my Xboxes the way I like my women...

Strong, Black, and Proud.

I got a 360 Elite today. I want to hug it.

So now I can play games again. Fatbojangles is my gamertag and don't you forget it! I'll be playing a lot of Rock Band, Rainbox Six Vegas 2 and maybe some COD 4 and Halo 3 now and again. Pop on and play something with me!!!

Giant Awesomeness

Wow. Just...fucking wow. I can't believe what they did with this site. It's off the funking chain!

So, besides my sheer astonishment with this site, I'm blogging to tell you all that I will be moving my series, Awesomeness, to Giant Bomb in the near future. Goodbye gamespot.
