Some of you are going absolutely nuts over this. It's just one of their many new series', and it's not like this is taking away anything from the site. If you don't like this show, just don't watch it. I don't like the Al-bummer show, or the Power Rangers show, or really any of the new stuff (except this), so I just don't watch it. As long as they keep having the bombcast, quick looks, and UPF, they'll have me forever.
I honestly don't get why this show in particular is making people freak out so much. But just calm down lol, if you don't like it, no one is making you watch it.
Yeah, we only read to find out if it lives up to the hype. But I DO think I need a score or review to tell me that!
And I DO like reading these more than watching an hour long quicklook or listening to a 2.5 hour bombcast! They're concise, decisive, and informative. Not to mention, a good review *itself* is part of what gets me jacked up to play the game!
Can never say enough to thank Jeff, Brad, Vinny, and Alex for all their effort, good cheer, sacrifice, and at-a-distance companionship for all these many years. You've all kept me company through thick and thin from senior year of college til my mid-thirties, not to mention all the years at Gamespot since middle school.
You've made a real, positive contribution to my well-being in my life and that of many others, and I hope you can appreciate that in a real way.
Jeff, you've been the rock that has kept this thing together more than anyone else, and I truly cannot believe you're going to keep this going. Incredible strength.
Brad... I love you man. Always the kind, sensitive, nerdy soul, I really came to appreciate your eternal good nature and old-timey common sense listening to the podcast. I'm really going to miss you.
Vinny, you've been such a good dad-energy guy for the group, emotional steward, and another incredible source of strength.
Alex, I feel like you've really become an especially wise, level-headed dude over the years, which really came out this last Bombcast and the GotY podcasts.
I'm going to miss all you folks very much, and will follow you wherever you go, should you want to be followed.
And Jeff, I'll be a Giant Bomb subscriber no matter what it becomes, as long as you're there.

And it was good to see Abby maybe, just a teeny bit, soften Jeff up a little bit. The man has been through a lot and has developed a thick sheen of cynicism. I think it would do him good (and do his games criticism good too!) to have someone wipe it away, just a little bit!
