I almost never post on the site, but I was led to this post again by an old Vice article. The site has provided me with a lot of happiness throughout the years and I've been pretty much consistently a premium member since the Dead Island TNT. The loss of Ryan shook me in a way that I honestly didn't know could happen. I'd never been taken by media personalities before, not in the same way that the Giant Bomb staff had taken me. It's taken until this last year to be able to revisit quick looks that feature Ryan, and I still can't bring to listen to the first Bombcast after his death again. Hopefully this year I'll be able to honor him by listening to it.
I've never known anyone who could make me regret not seeing their work sooner. If there's any sort of afterlife I hope you are experiencing the very best of it.
