Take a break. I haven't played a game in 3 weeks. Have not listened to a bombcast since I saw them live at Pax. I don't know I still like video games I just have a lot to figure out right now.

Sorry Duder, You wrote too much. I stand by what I said to my friend after beating the game. Ubisoft kept telling people it was OK to jump into AC3 without having played the previous games. That is simply not true. AC3 was the anti ME3. Whereas ME3 was really disappointing at time to long time fans. AC3 was a love letter to anyone who has played all the games and thoroughly enjoyed them.

If you hadn't played the previous games it was one of the most monotonous games of the year, the pacing was a mess.( I am truly baffled at how a game could be so brilliantly paced at parts of it but than be so horribly paced for the rest of it). If you had played the previous games it was fucking awesome as hell at times. It was clearly made for people who invested a ton into the series regardless of how I feel about its ending.

PS. Connor was fucking fantastic.

I have not listened to the podcasts yet but the game was unbalanced class wise and gameplay wise. It didn't launch with pvp. The story and dialogue were laughable and poor. With all that being said I still spent 5 months of my life playing that game non stop ( fuck me) . It seems like a lot of people will really like a game when it first comes out and but than backtrack when they see their peers talk about faults with the game that they apparently didn't see at first ( or failed to recognize at the time). It's not uncommon with people not in the the industry or sorry children. You would really expect grown adults to stick by the things they like while admitting they have faults instead of things being the best thing ever bar none or the worst thing ever.

Japanese developers seem to have a thing about repeating the same boss battles over and over again. Take the good with the bad right.

If you want too, keep playing Assassin's Creed. The game may be wildly inconsistent with its first 4 to 8 hours being one long tutorial for players who have never played an Assassins creed game before. Which is weird because all the actual great moments in the game were made for people who have played through all the games. I'm rambling now all I'm saying is that there are some great moments throughout and some good thought worthy conversations in there. It's not the complete package but very few things in life are enjoy what you can from it.

I bought it on steam but I've only played 2 hours of it. Is it really that good? Does the story become really good? I mean the combat while fun is only serviceable as it doesn't go above and beyond to become anything special well right now at least.

The shooting in this demo was terrible. It's not hard to replicate resident evil 4 and then take it to it's next evolutionary step aka Dead Space 2's shooting mechanics. In fact someone should have shown Dead Space 2 to anyone at Capcom working on resident evil 6 and they should have said here copy this.
