I like that everyone is ragging on the OP still when they theoretically want to go to the theater, just ripping them apart, and a mod posts that they actually have gone, and plan to go next week, and nobody says anything.

Don't go to the fucking theater. Mods included.

For real though, it's a bummer that I have no idea what either of these games are other than for these bizarre controversies which make me grandpa simpson the fuck out. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to have the narrative around your game co-opted like that.

Darq looks interesting for what its worth!

I think my biggest complaint about TLOU2 is a specific detail how they chose to wrap up one of the most interesting, or at least most hyped plot threads ever - "Does Ellie really trust / believe Joel after the ending of TLOU1?" with the most cliche of video game plot devices, an audio tape. I try not to fault a game for the over use of this device, as generally it's there for minor plot details or backstory so that you can listen to something as you're walking around and during a lull in the game - something to fill the void. *Choosing* to use the audiotape in a cutscene is about the only example of truly lazy storytelling in this game. It's wild that they never use audiotapes elsewhere in TLOU2, otherwise opting for hand written notes, not that this would have been a better plot device in this case.

I agree that while there are a lot of valid critiques about the game in this thread and others, TLOU2 suffered in an outsized way from shithead "Gamers" political views inserting themselves in the equation, but I suppose that is to be expected. I hope that due to it's reach, it can penetrate some otherwise overly conservative realms of thought and open some minds here and there, which is about all someone can ask for in aaa video games.

A discussion on the merits of cancelling someone for talking to people who are bad news seems like as swift of a path as I can possibly imagine towards covering the earth in trinitite, so "You do you, enjoy your echo chamber, please keep it to yourself., etc."

Gravity Rush 1 and 2, maybe. I don't know if that counts.

Asian people don't have red eyes. Don't be silly. Kat is clearly of "anime" race.

I feel like I could wordcloud this thread before it is ever written. Next time Rogan comes up on the site I'm all over it.
