Thanks for the review! I enjoyed reading it. Given other comments, it sounds like performance on PC can be similarly bad or mostly fine based on your rig so I am going to wait a bit. Even if they don't patch it, I should be able to figure out what hardware works ok with it.
The more I watch coverage of this, the more I come to the conclusion that this is the answer to the question, "What if Mass Effect Andromeda was Destiny style game?" And that this question was answered by people who did not play much Destiny.
Having played it on steam I'd say I enjoyed it. The music gives the game a heavy atmosphere that I found kind of draining by the end. Though given the story that you eventually piece together and what happens at the end of the game it makes sense. Don't think I'll be playing this again, but if you like this style of game I'd recommend it.
(Remember that scene in Peanuts comics where Lucy swipes the ball away after Charlie Brown goes to kick it? That's essentially Mario Party. It sells because it offers you the chance to be Lucy.)
The dialogue in this elusive target was just stellar. Everything he says during the mission story, the ambient dialogue as he walks around, the things he notes about disguises when you walk past is all just incredible. It gives you this sense that he's about to see through you at any second. I highly recommend watching a youtube video of the mission story part if you can find it.
Hmm, loved this game, never quite got through the end-game stuff. Wouldn't mind getting it again. I will probably get it after I'm done with Spider-Man and Hitman.
I am hoping there is an actual sequel to this at some point. Nothing against FF or Kingdom Hearts, but I liked this particular Squenix IP more and never got more of it.
