Games I've Beaten

Games that I've played from title to credits on any difficulty level.

List items

  • Got this game as a gift from my friend Will H. as a 10th birthday present. Got to the end of the game within that year. Wasn't until a few years later when I had the skill the defeat the last boss. About a year after that I realized that there were hidden levels. I couldn't believe that I missed those levels on the first play-through. Defeated some of those levels but not all. I still have this cartridge. A very enjoyable game.

  • Got this game from my friend Dachan K. as a 10th birthday present. I couldn't play it on my gameboy pocket, so I commandeered my brother's gameboy color for quite a while to play this game, until I got the GameBoy advance on launch day, June 11th 2001. I remember enjoying this game's mini-games as much as the main route itself, which was quite easy until the last few levels. I became somewhat of an expert with this game's motion sensor, able to move Kirby in a zig-zag at will with per pixel accuracy. I remember the bosses in this game being quite creative and satisfying to defeat.

  • Got this game from KB Toys, IIRC, as a Greatest Hits for the PlayStation. This was the first fighting game that I owned, and I played the crap out of it. I remember always thinking it would be too expensive to buy Tekken 3 for some reason. Anyway, it's not that hard to get to the credits on a Namco fighting game, especially if you choose the easiest difficulty level. Nevertheless, I had a strategy for playing arcade mode, which I did many times to unlock all the secret characters. I would use Marshall Law, and roll between X and O on the playstation controller (I'm not sure what Namco calls those buttons for Tekken). Anyway, this would make Law do a flip-kick move that the CPU seemed to never avoid. So, essentially using a single move I could defeat arcade mode even on the higher difficulties. At some point I opened the command list and tried to learn all of Law's moves, including his "Rainbow Kick" which I used quite a bit. My friend from across the street, Brian S. and his brother Matt would come over and play this game when the PlayStation had a home in my brother's room. The jewel case for this game was quite beat-up, even though I liked to keep my games in good shape, because of how much I played this game.
