Ok, as of now, I'm four hours into the original Mass Effect. I expected the game to have drawn me in by now but I'm not enjoying It at all. I'd heard such amazing things about this game and, although I was really late to the party, I was expecting a really good game. 
But so far...so far the game isn't living up to my expectations at all.  
So tell me, does Mass Effect only get good once you've played It for a while or is it just me?

I'm sort of an aspiring journalist so your thoughts on this one would be much appreciated! Hey everybody. I just started playing the original Mass Effect ( Yeah I know I'm way behind ). I'm just over 2 hours in right now and I'm enjoying It. The dialogue system is really drawing me in and I don't think I've ever seen an engaging game world quite like this one.  So far, I'd say the weak point is probably the combat...oh, and those elevator sequences. 
I watched Germany take on Spain in the FIFA World Cup semi-final last night. I had money riding on Germany since before the tournament started and I'm really dissapointed they didn't turn up. They looked a shadow of the team that routed England and Argentina. I think Holland will win the final on Sunday. They're the form team and while they haven't been the most impressive team, they've looked solid and they don't look like losing anytime soon. 
Lastly, Inception is out this week. I'm really looking forward to this film as Christopher Nolan is one of my favourite directors. The review scores I've seen so far have been good and I'll probably check It out in the next week or so.
