@inevpatoria: Yeah I wasn't expecting this, honestly. I've been super casually trying to play racing games forever, but never really connected with it. I had a feeling Horizon 4 would really grab me, but I didn't think a month later I'd be cockpit view in Motorsport with 95% of assists off lol. Call for help if I'm missing work for iracing in a few months.

I bought Motorsport 7 extremely soon after posting this.

I've been playing *a lot* of both Horizon and Motorsport and I can't get enough. Here's my current assist setup. Thanks y'all for all your input. I have a new favourite thing. I need a racing wheel...

I've never seriously played a driving sim before, and this is the first Horizon game I've played. I love it top to bottom, but what surprised me is how much I want to get good at it. Clean driving, clean lines, no collisions etc; I definitely enjoy the chaos of Horizon, but I'm really drawn to just solid *racing*. With most assists turned off, is Horizon a pretty good simulation? Or would I have to go to Motorsport to get the true experience?

I'm also probably not at all ready for something like Asseto Corsa, so I wanna stick with Forza.
