@damonkey64:True but i feel they have shown it in past shows and right now i don't know if anyone has made a case for VR really. It a cool thing but a pricey cool thing given that nothing seems solid when it comes to games and lineup. VR machines are already out there so i don't know how much Sony needs to explain it. Sony main goal in my eyes is bringing a killer app to VR and being the affordable option.
@damonkey64: I can't say i agree with the VR part. The VR they showed seemed more like complete game experiences than i have seen from anyone else. Aside from that the more you show VR the more i feel you will lose people. Everyone complained how awkward live demonstrations are of VR, everyone complained how cheesy it is seeing VR models reacting to VR gameplay, and everyone is already saying VR is not quite there yet for the mass market gaming crowd.
So i don't see what magic mixture you could make to show off VR well without just having people try it. To me you get a known game and make it work well for VR and sell it with that. Resident evil seems like a slam dunk to me given that so far that seems to be the best genre of game to sell VR given the PT like horror games work well with experiencing them in first person anyway. To me Sony nailed this e3 by showing gameplay and not wasting anytime on anything else. So many of the showings this year felt padded and talking about games that are not shown fully. Sony countered that by showing games and having a bit of swagger while doing it. Microsoft and Ubisoft also did quite good, well half of ubisoft.
This game may not flip the bill as a good game but it does not seem that bad. Good times to be had if you come in not expecting it to be game of the year.
